The STA was produced by the Ryan Aircraft Company just a few years after the famed "Spirit of St. Louis" reflecting the same golden-era heritage of the Ryan name. Historical note: FAA registration history documents this aircraft as based in Honolulu, Hawaii during the Pearl Harbor era, where it survived the December 7, 1941 attack. This STA was completely disassembled and professionally restored to original standards. An example of and one of very few airworthy STAs carrying the authentic legacy forward.
