Description
Detailed Description 1968 Cessna 177 Cardinal N29221 - upgraded 160hp STOL, uAvionix Glass, Ready to Fly Today Serial 17700198. Engine is currently 570 SMOH. Airframe is around 2,660 TT. Last annual was December 2025. I'm still flying so numbers may change a little. Engine is upgraded to the desirable 160 hp O-320-E2D and full logs. Climbs great. STOL kit is installed and the airplane trims up hands-off and flies beautifully. uAvionix upgrade (DG is in; AI is on the shelf ready for install at annual. my plan was to remove vacuum system at that time). ADS-B Out and Mode C Upgraded 406 MHz ELT Monarch fuel caps Garmin GPSMap 396 Whelen LED taxi and landing lights All ADs current INCLUDING SPAR. Nothing fancy beyond the glass, and nothing deferred. I have a box full of logs of the history of this interesting plane Mechanically this airplane is solid and ready to go today. I never have had an issue except for the flap motor, which is now replaced with a new part. I also upgraded the radio to a TKM MX300 NAV/COMM because I like the standby. Cosmetics are honest: it could use paint and some interior attention - old plastics and there's a seam rip in the back-seat fabric - needs resewn. Both were already planned for the next annual. This plane spent its life in sunny Southern California and then Nevada before coming to Texas into my hangar - no corrosion stories. I'm looking at 5/6-seaters as the kids keep gaining additional ballast and I would consider a clean trade or a straightforward sale. Serious inquiries welcome.
