ZL-4C contains water, fluorescent dye, liquid emulsifying agents, but has no petroleum base solvents and no corrosion inhibitors. When placed under ultraviolet radiation of 365 nanometers, it fluoresces a bright greenish-yellow color to aid in leak detection. The Magnaflux ZB-100F fan-cooled black light is recommended.ZL-4C is used in applications where petroleum solvents are not desired, such as on plastics. It can also be used on ceramics.
