The corrosion inhibitive sealant has a service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250¬°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275° (135°C), so it's flexible enough to be applied virtually anywhere. Use PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 A-1/2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant on aluminum alloys or between dissimilar metals for the best results. The cured sealant is gray and is resistant to both jet fuel and aviation gas. PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 A-1/2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant is a two-part formula with a manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide base. The uncured material is thin and can be applied by brush in thicknesses up to 25 mils. It cures at room temperature and forms a resilient seal under ideal conditions.
