Designed for use on the inside of the fuel tank, the sealant boasts a wide service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C) and can even withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 275°F (135°C) without failure. The sealant is designed for brush and fay sealing and is formulated to maintain its elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to aviation gas and jet fuel. PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part formula and is sold in an A/B kit. Each kit contains enough pre-measured material to make 1 pint of sealant. The manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide compound goes on smoothly and can be applied in thicknesses up to 25 mils.
