The neutral gray sealant has a service temperature range from -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C) and cures at room temperature. Use PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 A-1/2 SAE AMS-S-8802 Fuel Tank Sealant for brush or fay sealing and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications with excellent results. PPG Aerospace® P/S 890 A-1/2 AMS-S-8802 Type 2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound that is suitable for brush application in thicknesses up to 25 mils. The sealant cures at room temperature and is remarkably resilient, adhering well to most common types of aircraft substrates.
