The sealant has a service temperature range of -65ºF (-54ºC) to 250ºF (121ºC) and can withstand brief exposure to temperatures as high as 275ºF (135ºC). Designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications, the sealant cures at room temperature and maintains excellent elastomeric properties after repeat exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 B-1/2 Fuel Tank Sealant is easy to apply and is sold as a two-part formula that is designed to be mixed just before use. The uncured, mixed material is a low-sag, thixotropic paste that can be applied by extrusion gun or spatula as desired.
