The fuel tank sealant has a service temperature range from -65ºF (-54ºC) to 250ºF (121ºC), but can also withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures as high as 360ºF (182ºC) without failure. The sealant works best for fillet sealing, but can be used for other fuselage sealing applications as well. Once cured, PPG Aerospace® PR-1750 B-1/2 Fuel Tank Sealant maintains its excellent elastomeric properties, even after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. PPG Aerospace® PR-1750 B-1/2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part formula that is designed to be mixed just before use. The sealant is sold in a 2.5-ounce 655-SemKit where the two components are kept separate until use. This ensures that the PR Class B-1/2 sealant is in its most active form when applied, delivering the best adhesion and seal.
