As the name states, 3M's 8658DL is a protective tape made of polyurethane. This lightweight tape is extremely tough in that it resists puncturing, tearing, and abrasion. Application is fast and easy with its self-stick, pressure sensitive configuration. In addition, this item was designed in order to pass the burn resistance requirements of FAR 25.853, either when tested alone or when applied to a wide range of aircraft floorboard panels. Moreover, 8658DL tape creates a durable barrier; by doing so it prevents fluids from penetrating floorboards which may result in corrosion. This particular item is supplied on a 36 yard roll and has a 4 inch width.
