Features Magnetic Filtration System – The Tempest Original filter has more media area (311square inches) than any other aviation oil filter. An internal magnet, designed to attract fine steel particles to small to be caught by the filter media that can be harmful to the engine, effectively increases the filtration performance of the filter. Improved Nut Welds – Nut welds are so strong that the can will distort without breaking the welds! During production testing nuts are actually ripped away from the can – the base metal must fail, the welds must not (see photo). Using Tempest Original filters means no more frustration with installation nuts falling off.
