Description
The PTA-100 POTS Telephone Adapter is a keypad control and display unit for airborne telephone system applications. It connects to a telephone system transceiver by a two-wire plain old telephone service (POTS) interface. The PTA12-100 can be connected to an aircraft audio controller or directly to an aviation headset or handset. The PTA12-100's microcontroller controls the following functions: speech audio circuits, hook switch, ring indication, flash, hold, redial, serial data communications, backlighting, display, speed dial, Globalstar™ satcom status, DTMF tone generation and ringer audio generate. The speech audio circuits include a mic input amplifier and a phones output amplifier with front panel volume control.
