How It Works Prepare the Wires:  Strip the ends of the wires to the appropriate length. Crimp the Ferrules:  Place the stripped wire ends into the ferrules and use the crimper to secure them. Insert into OLC-2:  Insert the crimped ferrule ends into the OLC-2 connector and tighten the set screws. Crimp the ferrule. Insert into OLC-2:  Insert the crimped ferrule ends into the OLC-2 connector and tighten the set screws. Pull on the crimped ferrule (3 to 4lbs) to ensure that it is firmly attached to the wire. Insert the crimped ferrule into OLC-2 and tighten with a hex wrench until the hex wrench flexes (3 inches lbs). Repeat on the opposite end to complete your connection. Pull on wires (3 to 4lbs) to ensure that your connections on both sides of the OLC-2 are firm and secure.
