Description

Detailed Description This rare 1971 Cessna Turbo 310Q with the 300HP TSIO520EB (Cessna 402 engine) RAM Engine Series I Performance Improvement STC has recently gone through a four year renovation. All systems have been updated to new, overhauled, inspected, and repaired. The fuselage was zinc chromated at the Cessna factory. The RAM STC gives a 170 pound useful load increase. The useful load is 1820 pounds - recently weighed. The current TTAF is 3877.3. The engine and accessories are at 50.7 SMOH. The propellers are 50.7 since new. All avionics are 50.7 since new. The AOPA Winsock Value is $382,509.00. With a total time of 50.7 hours since major overhaul on the engines, new propellers, modern radios, wing de-ice boots, heated propellers, turbocharged 300HP engines, this 1971 Cessna 310Q is ready for years of maintenance free flying, all weather capability, and safe performance at high elevation airports. Airframe 310Q0234 was given an airworthiness certificate on December 9, 1970, and registered to Cessna Aircraft as a N7734Q, and used as a factory demonstrator in Europe. At 108 hours (September 30, 1971), it was registered as G-AZFJ in the United Kingdom. The logbooks for the first 108 hours are missing. A new European logbook was started at that time, (English). All logbooks after 108 hours are present. While in Europe, it was re-registered as a United States aircraft under N9RV (March 28, 1979) and eventually returned to the United States on July 25, 1985. The 1971 year model Cessna 310 is the last year with the Classic 310 fuselage - no leaking rear window that allows additional UV into the cabin or the "turtle hump" fuselage bump appearance. 1971 was the last year the control switches were located on the glareshield for ease of use. A new windshield has been installed. The Janitrol B3040 heater has just been overhauled, (2.1 SMOH). New Goodyear Flight Custom II tires and tubes installed on all landing gear. The Cleveland Wheel and Brake STC has been installed. The crew/passenger six place oxygen system has a 77 cubic foot oxygen cylinder and an overhauled valve/regulator. It has five UBS ports and three cigar lighter electrical connections for battery operated supplemental equipment. The radio upgrade includes the Garmin GTN750xi GPS/NAV/COM/ILS, Garmin G500TXi Primary Flight Display/HSI, Garmin GNC255 VOR/ILS/NAV/COM, Garmin GTX345 ADS-B IN/OUT Transponder, GI275 Multifunction Display, GMA345 Audio Panel with six place intercom, Garmin Flight Stream 510 SD Card, Garmin G5 standby attitude/airspeed/ground track, Davron 811B digital clock/stop watch, Shadin Fuel Flow Computer/Totalizer, Garmin GPT59 Outside Air Temperature Sensor, True Air Speed/Winds Aloft/Ground Speed are displayed on the G500TXi. The Flight Stream 510 SD Card will allow the GTN750xi to pair with your Ipad/Foreflight or Garmin Aera 760 external device. The older 285HP TSIO520B engines have been replaced with 300 HP TSIO520EB engines with the stronger RAM STC improved engine case. The McCauley propellers have been replaced with new Hartzell SimitarPlus Propellers. A new exhaust system was installed with the engines. Overhauled propeller unfeathering accumulators were installed with the engines. New Hartzell 150 amp alternators were installed. New McCauley propeller governors were installed. The six seats were recently recovered with blue leather with the Cessna 310 Logo embossed into the extended headrest, (April 13, 2026). Last painted on March 1, 1996, by Jim Straube, (airstraube.com). The interior side panels and head liner are believed to be original. The glove box is full size. New seat belts and shoulder harnesses were replaced at the same time that the seats were recovered. In addition, the shorter nose of the Q Model allows it to be stored in a standard T hangar. The R models are 28.5 inches longer and won't fit in a standard T Hanger. R Models usually must be stored in a FBO community hangar at much greater expense. All times will increase as aircraft is flown. All specifications in this add are subject to the buyer's inspection and confirmation.
