Description

Beechcraft B60 Duke in magnificent condition always hangered and meticulously maintained by the Aviation Centre Tyabb. Aircraft total time in service only 2600 hours. Huge spare parts package. Three engines two with approx 500 hrs to run One with 1450 hrs to run but requires bulk strip and inspection. Three props all with good hours to run. Heaps more parts - too many to list. For any questions or enquiries, please feel free to reach out! --- The Beech Duke is a great owner flown airplane with good speed (230 - 240 mph @ 21,000) and most are fully certified for flight into known icing conditions. It is as stable as a rock on instruments with adequate knee room for passengers in the cabin. The nose baggage compartment is more than ample. Some things the Duke is not: It is not a short field airplane without excessive use of brakes. 4000' is most comfortable. However, comparison with other light twins shows the same: Beech Duke: - Takeoff SL over 50' = 2626 - Takeoff 5000' over 50' = 3750 - A/S SL = 3500 - A/S 5000' = 4300 Cessna 414: - Takeoff SL over 50' = 2595 - Takeoff 5000' over 50' = 3780 - A/S SL = 4255 - A/S 5000' = 5430 Cessna 421: - Takeoff SL over 50' = 2335 - Takeoff 5000' over 50' = 3740 - A/S SL = 3630 - A/S 5000' = 5000 NOTE: Duke is on a par with other light twins on takeoff over a 50' obstacle and better in accelerate - stop distances. It is not a six passenger aircraft with full fuel (202 or 232 gallons) but neither are its competitors. See comparisons. Beech Duke: - Max Weight (Lbs) = 6819 - Useful Loads (Lbs) = 2098 - Cruise 65% 20,000' Kts = 212 - GPH = 36.6 - Range Seats Full = 591 - Useful Load Tanks Full = 706 Cessna 340: - Max Weight (Lbs) = 6025 - Useful Loads (Lbs) = 1614 - Cruise 65% 20,000' Kts = 206 - GPH = 30.0 - Range Seats Full = 535 - Useful Load Tanks Full = 396 Cessna 414: - Max Weight (Lbs) = 6785 - Useful Loads (Lbs) = 1615 - Cruise 65% 20,000' Kts = 200 - GPH = 30.0 - Range Seats Full = 252 - Useful Load Tanks Full = 379 Cessna 421: - Max Weight (Lbs) = 7500 - Useful Loads (Lbs) = 2002 - Cruise 65% 20,000' Kts = 218 - GPH = 38.2 - Range Seats Full = 526 - Useful Load Tanks Full = 430 Piper Mojave: - Max Weight (Lbs) = 7245 - Useful Loads (Lbs) = 1647 - Cruise 65% 20,000' Kts = 184 - GPH = 31.0 - Range Seats Full = 663 - Useful Load Tanks Full = 219 Duke has the highest useful load of any plane listed. Duke will carry more cabin load with full fuel. 78% more than 414: 16% more than 421 and 222% more than Mojave.
