Left Engine Teardown - Major Reliability Upgrade The left TSIO-520-NB engine had a full teardown inspection in accordance with Continental standards, following metal contamination. This extensive work included: Crankshaft and counterweights inspected, precision-ground, and recertified, with new crankshaft collar, alternator face gear, and recertified crank gear installed. Camshaft Overhauled and installed with new cam gear, overhauled lifters, and a fully renewed oil pump system (new housing, gears, and plunger). Connecting rods inspected, rebushed, and recertified. New tach housing and shaft installed. Cylinders inspected, intake & exhaust valves and valve seats cut, lapped valves to cylinders, barrels honed, and new pistons and piston rings installed. Engine reassembled with all new bearings, seals, gaskets, hardware, and fasteners, ensuring a fresh bottom end and extended service life. Oil Cooler Overhauled Propeller Governor Overhauled Turbocharger Overhauled Wastegate Overhauled Variable Pressure Controller Overhauled This teardown represents a significant reliability enhancement, with extensive new and overhauled components throughout the bottom end.
