Description
Detailed Description Aviation Sales International is proud to present this outstanding Extra EA500 turboprop aircraft. The aircraft is the brainchild of renowned German aircraft designer Walter Extra. Built as a onward development of the Extra 400 aircraft the 500 is equipped with a super economical and reliable Rolls-Royce Model 250-B17F/2 turbine producing 450SHP. The introduction of the turboprop was a vast improvement over the troubled water cooled piston engine fitted to the EA400's. The aircraft design is modern and has plenty of room inside the cabin for pilots and passengers alike. The cabin is quiet and comfortable with a pressurised cabin and service ceiling of 25,000ft you can get on top of the weather easily. Avionics are modern and have recently been updated to include the Garmin GTN750Xi as well as the factory fitted Avidyne Entegra R9 flight deck. WAAS, 8.33KHz and ADSB in/out. If you are considering stepping up to a turbo prop then the Extra EA500 should be a real contender, with operating costs a fraction of what they are with the likes of a Piper Meridian or TBM750. The costs are far closer to that of a Cirrus SR22 but with turbine reliability, comfort and longevity. If you are looking for your next aircraft then take the time to check out the Extra EA500. For the price of a SR22 G6 you are getting into a totally different beast but with the same costs of ownership and ease to fly by a private pilot. Aircraft is currently based in Florida.
