Description

Detailed Description 2014 Legend AL18 Super Legend Cub - Only 64 Hours Since New Beautiful 2014 Legend AL18 Super Legend Cub with approximately 64 hours total time since new on the airframe and engine. I purchased this airplane last year with only about 20 hours total time. The previous owner spent much of his time overseas, so the Cub spent most of its early life hangared in Texas with very little use. I had the engine inspected when I purchased it and have since logged over 40 hours. It starts quickly, runs great, and has been flown regularly during my ownership. Hours will continue to increase. The AL18 delivers the classic Super Cub experience with excellent short-field performance, while the 115 HP Lycoming YO-233 keeps the airplane light, simple, and economical to operate. Cruise fuel burn is approximately 4.5 GPH. Double doors and a cabin approximately 6 inches wider than the original Piper Cub make it comfortable and practical. Legend developed and tested the AL18 platform at higher gross weights, 1,700 lbs, before limiting the S-LSA version to 1,320 lbs to comply with Light Sport rules. This aircraft's approved gross weight is 1,320 lbs. Modifications

Powered by a 115 HP Lycoming YO-233 with approximately 64 hours total time since new. The YO-233 is a modern, lightweight derivative of Lycoming's proven O-235 engine found in the Cessna 152. Specifically engineered for light-sport aircraft, Lycoming reduced engine weight by approximately 40 pounds through lighter components, redesigned accessories, and electronic ignition while retaining the proven O-235 design. Features dual electronic ignition, upgraded exhaust system, and economical fuel consumption of approximately 4.9 GPH at cruise. Engine was inspected at purchase, starts easily, runs excellent, and has been flown regularly. Hours increasing.

Avionics

Well-equipped XC/Night-VFR panel featuring Garmin SL40 COM radio, Garmin GTX 327 transponder, Garmin GPSMAP 796 portable GPS, Garmin GDL 39 ADS-B In receiver, and TruTrak ADI electronic attitude indicator. AeroLED lighting provides excellent visibility for night operations. A capable avionics package for cross-country flying and recreational aviation.
