Modifications

Additional Avionics and Software Enhancements to be installed at the time of the annual 3D SafeTaxi Provides a 3D depiction of the airport environment on the Primary Flight Display while the aircraft is on the ground, assisting with airport navigation. Surface Indications and Alerts (SURF IA)—US-registered aircraft only Provides visual and aural warnings of potential traffic conflicts when the aircraft is on or near a hard-surface runway served by a precision instrument approach. CAS-Linked Checklists Allows applicable checklist procedures to be opened directly from the System Messages page when a linked Crew Alerting System message appears. Low-Pitch Electronic Stability and Protection If the aircraft exceeds 22 degrees nose-down pitch, ESP engages the pitch servo and applies sidestick pressure to help return the aircraft to a safer attitude. “Are You Alert?” Incapacitation Monitoring Following 27 minutes without detected pilot activity, the system displays escalating CAS alerts. If no response is detected by 30 minutes, Emergency Descent Mode or Emergency Autoland may activate. Glide-Range Ring and Best-Glide Bearing Pointer Displays the estimated gliding range to approximately 1,000 feet above ground level under optimum glide conditions. Directional chevrons identify a suitable airport within the calculated range. Stabilised Approach Monitoring Provides visual and aural warnings when potentially unstable conditions are detected during an approach. Simple PERF Improves estimated time en route and fuel-endurance calculations by using true airspeed adjusted for forecast wind conditions, when available. Take-off and Landing Data—TOLA Enables pilots to enter, calculate and review planned take-off and landing performance data. Enhanced Visual Approaches Allows the pilot to include a downwind leg, base leg or both when constructing a visual approach. Increased Maximum Operating Mach Number Maximum operating Mach increased from M0.53 to M0.54. ATC Datalink—CPDLC Support Supports text-based communication between the pilot and air traffic control. Availability requires completion of the applicable hardware service bulletin, SB5X-23-05. Updated Landing-Gear Retraction Protection Prevents landing-gear retraction when UP is selected under certain low-altitude, low-speed and low-throttle conditions associated with landing or go-around operations. Automatic TKS Weight-and-Balance Sensing The quantity and weight of TKS fluid are detected automatically and no longer require manual entry. Digital Hour Meters Adds digital recording and display of applicable aircraft operating hours. Additional System Improvements Includes various usability enhancements, software refinements and bug fixes.
