Detailed Description This is N405XP, the first delivered XP in the US. Located here in Ormond Beach, Florida and probably the most anticipated. N405XP is the demonstration aircraft for Super Petrel USA. Total time on the aircraft is 128 hours. The red and black colors were recently changed to gold and black. Much more classy! Since N405XP first arrived we have made many changes to the XP to where we are today with the XP PLUS. The biggest three changes were Rotax 916iS engine from the original Rotax 915iS, the addition of the second Garmin G3X display and the addition of the Garmin GHA-15 Height Alert System. The price you see is the original price of the aircraft in 2024. Today the new PLUS is priced at $367,000. Since we no longer produce the single display aircraft powered with the Rotax 915iS engine, we are planning to upgrade to the XP PLUS in November. N405XP was proudly on the cover of PILOT magazine in 2024 and has been the first experience flight for most of the owners today of their Super Petrel XPs, The electrically actuated / hydraulically operated landing gear retracting system is optimized for ease of operation, low maintenance, and simplicity of design. The elimination of cables, arms and pulleys results in a 50% reduction of moving parts. The new streamlined fuselage with a one-piece canopy provides unparalleled visibility and comfort for the occupants. The SUPER PETREL XP is equipped with the new 915iS Turbo (141 hp). There is a redesigned fuel system with dual gauge indicators. The baggage area storage volume has been increased by 60%. Cruise speeds of more than 100 knots in the new SUPER PETREL XP will be the new normal. The SUPER PETREL XP is the culmination of two decades from the professional and passionate team at Scoda Aeronautica in Ipeuna Brazil, providing their best engineering and manufacturing expertise to create this extraordinary light sport amphibian aircraft. Every piece of this new design has been meticulously engineered for strength, effectiveness, and performance while leveraging the incomparable safety record inherited from its predecessor. The longer hull enhances hydrodynamic efficiency, therefore water takeoff and landing at the new maximum allowable gross weight (for both water and land) of 1,500 pounds (680 kg) is easier than ever. The newly engineered airfoil with carbon fiber strut fairings and built-in landing and position lights add elegance to this unique bi-plane configuration. State-of-the-art nose and main wheels with larger tires offer improved operational performance on unprepared fields such as grass, soft sand, or rocky beaches.
