Accident & incident history

2005-07-27 Accident · Yakutat, AK Damage: Substantial NTSB · ANC05CA109
Reported aircraft: Maule MX7-180 — a different aircraft that carried the N185DB registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: The pilot's selection of unsuitable terrain for landing, and his failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during the landing roll, which resulted in a nose-over. A factor contributing to the accident was soft terrain.
