Accident & incident history

1991-09-07 Accident · Tranquility, NJ Damage: Destroyed Fatal injury NTSB · NYC91FA230
Reported aircraft: Boeing PT-17 — a different aircraft that carried the N3721C registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: LOSS OF ENGINE POWER FOR AN UNDETERMINED REASON, AND FAILURE OF THE PILOT TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE AIRSPEED, WHILE MANEUVERING TO LAND, WHICH RESULTED IN A STALL. THE LACK OF ALTITUDE FOR A RECOVERY FROM THE STALL WAS A RELATED FACTOR.
