Accident & incident history

1989-06-17 Accident · Picacho, AZ Damage: Destroyed Minor injury NTSB · LAX89LA217
Reported aircraft: Cessna 421 — a different aircraft that carried the N421S registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: FAILURE OF THE NUMBER THREE EXHAUST VALVE ON THE LEFT ENGINE. A MAJOR FACTOR WAS THE HIGH DENSITY ALTITUDE WHERE THE AIRPLANE WOULD NOT OPERATE ON SINGLE ENGINE.
