Accident & incident history

2023-10-19 Incident · Chicago, IL Damage: Minor NTSB · DCA24LA043
Reported aircraft: Boeing 787
Probable cause: The flight crew s misperception of the distance required to safely pass the hangar and failure to request additional ground handling support while taxiing, which resulted in a collision with a hangar. Contributing to the accident was United Airlines Maintenance Ramp personnel s ambiguous taxi instructions and lack of obstruction clearance guidance.
2003-04-01 Accident · Avondale, AZ Damage: Substantial NTSB · LAX03LA122
Reported aircraft: Ayres S2R-T34 — a different aircraft that carried the N30913 registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: The pilot failed to maintain adequate visual lookout and did not maintain clearance from power lines. The backhoe's location, which caused the pilot to alter his planned flight path, was a factor.
