Accident & incident history

1997-02-24 Incident · Rapid City, SD NTSB · CHI97IA074
Reported aircraft: de Havilland DHC-8-311 — a different aircraft that carried the N430AW registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: a missing 'C' clip, which resulted in the master link coming apart, allowing the electric elevator trim chain and cable to become entangled in the elevator trim cables.
