Accident & incident history

2004-12-30 Accident · Hamilton, MT Damage: Destroyed NTSB · SEA05LA032
Reported aircraft: Aerostar 601 — a different aircraft that carried the N601DF registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: A partial loss of engine power due to the lack of lubrication and subsequent failure of the left engine's right turbocharger for undetermined reasons, and subsequent forced landing after takeoff. A factor was the unsuitable terrain for the forced landing.
