Accident & incident history

2023-04-01 Accident · Wall Township, NJ Damage: Substantial NTSB · ERA23LA176
Reported aircraft: Cessna 750
Probable cause: The pilots loss of directional control while landing in gusting wind conditions which resulted in a runway excursion. Also contributing was the flight crew s decision to land at an airport where there was a rapidly approaching severe thunderstorm.
2014-11-26 Accident · Hilton Head Island, SC Damage: Substantial NTSB · ERA15CA065
Reported aircraft: Socata TB 20 Trinidad — a different aircraft that carried the N85AV registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: The pilot's inadvertent selection of an incorrect frequency, which resulted in his inability to activate the airport lighting, and his subsequent decision to continue the approach in dark night conditions despite having not positively identified the runway environment.
