Accident & incident history

1991-10-22 Accident · Pelham, AL Damage: Substantial Serious injury NTSB · ATL92FA013
Reported aircraft: Beechcraft 58 — a different aircraft that carried the N99CK registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO CORRECT THE POSITION OF THE FUEL SELECTOR BEFORE TAKEOFF, AND HER INATTENTIVENESS TO FUEL CONSUMPTION DURING THE FLIGHT, WHICH RESULTED IN FUEL STARVATION. FACTORS WERE THE NON-PERFORMANCE OF ENGINE OUT EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND THE DARK, NIGHT CONDITIONS.
