Accident & incident history

2002-08-24 Accident · Gakona, AK Damage: Substantial NTSB · ANC02LA120
Reported aircraft: Bellanca 7ECA — a different aircraft that carried the N9994Y registration before this airframe.
Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane, and his excessive use of the airplane's brakes during the landing roll, which resulted in the airplane nosing down. A contributing factor in the accident was wet, high grass along the runway edge.
