Scoda Aeronautica LTDA has been producing the Super Petrel amphibian aircraft for more than 25 years from a dot of a town on the Brazilian map called Ipeuna. The first version was the Super Petrel 100. In 2014, the aircraft was approved to be sold as a Certified Light Sport. During those first 25 years there were 400 upgrades and improvements ranging from engines, propellers, avionics etc. The very last version was the Super Petrel LS 400 Series. Other than which Rotax engine you would like (912iS or 914UL Turbo) there were no options. N323WF is the 912iS fuel injected engine producing 100 hp with 4.0 gph fuel burn and 24 gallons usable fuel. That equals 6 hours of range. This aircraft has the best useful load of any Super Petrel ever produced. Empty weight is 855 lbs. Max water operating wt. is 1,320 lbs. and max land ops is 1,430 lbs. The aircraft is available for viewing and demonstration flights. All aircraft logbooks are also available for viewing. The SUPER PETREL LS is a resistant, light and safe amphibian aircraft, which demonstrates docile and precise pilotage in all, speed ranges as well as turns. In water, the SUPER PETREL LS operates safely, easily absorbing wave impacts. The lower wings also work as water spray deflectors preserving the propeller integrity. The SUPER PETREL LS is a versatile and well-finished amphibious aircraft. Its ability to take off and land short distances is unbeatable whether on land or water. With an excellent endurance and a comprehensive range of options and extras, it is perfect for any kind of operation. The SUPER PETREL LS has a spacious cockpit able to carry two people comfortably. The aircraft also has a baggage compartment that can carry up to a maximum load of 66 lbs (30 kg). Equipped with a safe fuel system with a total capacity of 25 US gallons (95 liters), the aircraft can fly up to 600 miles (960 km) range with no fuel reserves. With an excellent cruise speed, the SUPER PETREL LS exceeds the expectations of the category. It has streamlined control surfaces, which will bring safe and efficient handling characteristics throughout the aircraft operating envelope. This is the 400 Series of the Super Petrel LS aircraft. The last version before production ended and the new XP aircraft began production. with more than 400 LS aircraft produced, Scoda will support replacement parts for decades.
